As a Permitting Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and regulatory agencies to streamline permit acquisition, track application statuses, and facilitate smooth project progress. Your expertise in permitting and strong organizational skills will drive efficiency and support the successful delivery of complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end permitting process for construction projects, including preparing and submitting permit applications
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards
- Track permit application statuses, follow up on approvals, and resolve any issues or delays promptly
- Collaborate with project teams to review construction plans and ensure they meet permitting requirements
- Assist in reviewing construction plans and schedules to align with permit conditions, project timelines and required inspections
- Maintain accurate records of permits, correspondence, approvals, and related documentation using Microsoft Office programs and construction industry software
Experience
- Proven experience in construction permitting or commercial project coordination within the construction industry
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations and understanding of construction plans and drawings
- Proficiency in scheduling inspections online via city and county websites
- Strong communication skills for relaying data related to permits, schedules, or inspection requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple permits simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with regulatory agencies, internal teams, and clients
