Drilling Area Assistant

SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:

The Drilling Area Assistant position is responsible for getting the jobs ready for Drilling and moving them out of the department when completed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review Travelers and follow any special instructions.
• Perform Flash Rout & Spot Face operations
• Move jobs in ProCim and between buildings
• Run De-burring equipment
• Hand sand and cleaning of panels as required
• Assist with Kitting
• Area maintenance – general cleaning and trash removal
• Ability to stand/walk 8 hours per day.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS- EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good mathematical aptitude.
• Good computer skills: Microsoft: Word, Excel, and Outlook and ability to learn new skills and tasks as required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds maximum and stand/walk throughout the day.
• Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
• Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and understand technical work instructions.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the day.
• Ability to Read, write English and basic verbal communication.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all time.
• Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 20 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, or climb on step ladders as necessary.
