What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Operations Foreman position at Sierra Chemicals, L.C.?
Sierra Chemicals is looking for an experienced, hands-on Field Operations Supervisor to lead industrial cleaning and field service projects throughout the Bakken region.
This is not a desk-based management position. You will be in the field leading crews, coordinating equipment and resources, communicating directly with customers, and making sure every project is completed safely, efficiently and to Sierra’s standards.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to take real ownership of field operations in one of Sierra Chemicals’ most important growth regions. You will have the authority to make decisions, develop your team and help strengthen our presence across North Dakota.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily field operations at customer facilities and project sites
- Supervise, support and hold field technicians accountable during project execution
- Coordinate crews, equipment, vehicles and other operational resources
- Conduct safety meetings, job hazard assessments and compliance activities
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and according to customer requirements
- Maintain professional communication with customers and site personnel
- Coordinate scheduling and resource needs with regional and corporate operations leadership
- Troubleshoot field challenges and make sound operational decisions
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training and developing field personnel
- Complete required project documentation, reporting and operational records
- Help build a strong, reliable local team capable of supporting continued growth in the Bakken
What We’re Looking For
- At least five years of experience in industrial services, plant maintenance, midstream operations, industrial cleaning, oil and gas field operations, or a related environment
- Previous experience leading field crews, technicians or operational teams
- Strong understanding of industrial safety requirements and field best practices
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities and resources
- Experience communicating directly with customers and facility personnel
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to work alongside the team when needed
- Strong problem-solving, organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and remain effective in demanding field environments
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory
Preferred Experience
- Industrial cleaning, hydroblasting or chemical cleaning
- Gas processing plants, compression facilities or midstream operations
- Plant maintenance or turnaround work
- Leading crews in remote operating environments
- Workforce scheduling and resource planning
- DOT and transportation requirements
- CDL with Hazmat endorsement
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
