SUMMARY
Assist the Purchasing Supervisor in accordance with company policies and recommendations while helping to create an effective and cost-efficient purchasing operation and also establishing a fun and safe work environment.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Communicates and coordinates with all departments to understand needs, anticipate, and resolve issues.
2. Understands departmental standards, guidelines and objectives and maintains other administrative processes to create an efficient organization.
3. Effective communication skills with all levels of employees, guests and all other outside contacts.
4. Understanding of corporate and resort specific policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities are (but not limited to):
1. Assists with timely delivery of quality products to meet departmental needs.
2. Maintains central receiving storeroom area. Assist with supervising staff performing inventory check-in, distribution, and transfer of inventory and supplies, including daily accounting business, to all base areas.
3. Coordinates timely data entry of food and beverage inventory and records.
4. Assists with the monitoring and maintaining par levels of commonly needed supplies such as food, beverage, paper goods, office supplies, cleaning and maintenance supplies, other large cost or bulk orders including all pre-printed materials; i.e. ticket stock, stationary, administration forms.
5. Corresponds with all incoming and outgoing UPS and Fed-Ex mail and assists with weekly pick-ups at area vendors.
6. Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
7. Flexible working hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY
1. Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort guests at all times.
2. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
3. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
4. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
5. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of computer-based purchasing systems. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and guest service skills required in addition to 10-key experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Resort certification on any necessary equipment.
