Job Duties:
- Perform defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies, and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Manager
- Prepare and serve meals to cycle menu
- Monitor methods of food handling
- Coordinate food preparation and meal service
- Meet scheduled meal and snack times
- Follow federal and state long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures
- Prepare, season, cook, and serve for assigned meal: ensure appropriate portioned servings according to portion control standards
- Other assigned duties
- High school graduate or equivalent education preferred
- One year food service experience in healthcare dietary setting desired
- Must be patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members
- Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards, and other work assignments
