Sienna Eye Care is a new optometry practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care to our patients! We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and EXPERIENCED Optician to join our team.
Duties
- Greeting and assisting patients at the front desk
- Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
- Manage retail operations including inventory control, sales transactions, and customer inquiries.
- Assisting optometrists with patient workups and medical testing
- Fitting patients with eyeglasses based on their prescriptions and personal preferences.
- Claiming vision insurances for eyeglasses
- Providing patients education on lens options, frame styles, and proper eyewear care.
- Performing routine eyeglass adjustments and repairs
- Maintaining accurate medical records and inventory
- Verifying eligibility and accurately interpreting vision and medical insurance benefits
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Optician certification or 3 years of experience required
- Familiarity working with vision plans including VSP, Eyemed, Spectera, Davis Vision/Superior Vision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team & effectively in a fast paced environment
- Passion to assist in other tasks that aid in office efficiency and growth of the practice
Pay
- Compensation depends on experience and skill level.
