Laundry Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and proper handling of residents linens, and other fabric items within our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in laundry operations, including washing, drying, and folding, with a focus on quality and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a clean and comfortable environment for our residents or guests.

Responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and folding machines efficiently and safely
• Sort laundry items according to color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements
• Perform cleaning tasks including stain removal and fabric care to ensure high-quality results
• Handle delicate items with care, including dry cleaning processes when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and ensure equipment is properly maintained
• Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for chemicals and cleaning agents
• Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and linens
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of laundry loads

Requirements

• Prior experience in laundry operations, preferably in hotels or dry cleaning services
• Knowledge of laundry techniques, including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal
• Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Good organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
• Prior experience in hotel or hospitality environments is a plus but not required

Pay: From $20.31 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
