Job Summary:
- Inspiring students and promoting mastery in subject areas.
- Helping to develop and implement curriculum that is aligned with Wisconsin State Standards, Common Core Standards and Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards as they evolve.
- Providing continual assessment of student progress and maintaining records.
- Continually evaluating instructional performance to meet the needs of the students.
Qualifications:
- A Theology teacher must meet the following criteria:
- Practicing Catholic
- A postsecondary degree in Catholic theology
- One of the following:
- State teacher license.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 semester hours of credit in teacher education from an accredited institution as part of, or in addition to, the degree.
- A teacher in need of up to 12 credit hours must submit a plan of study to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Office for Schools by October 1 of the year of the initial contract for the position. The teacher will have three (3) years from the commencement date of the initial contract to complete the required credit hours.
- Bachelor’s degree and an individualized plan of study to attain licensure/certification approved by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Office for Schools.
- Basic Religious Education Certification (within three (3) years from the initial contract date) with continuing efforts toward Advanced certification
