A day in this roleYou clock in for second shift at 5:00pm. On the floor, a motor assembly awaits. You start by reviewing drawings and quality specs, then move methodically—documenting inbound checks, staging parts, and removing couplings with the right pullers. Precision guides your hands as you disassemble, clean, and inspect rotors and stators, examine seals and pulse wheels, and evaluate coils and insulation systems. Bearings go in with care. The motor is reassembled and the regreasing system is flushed. Then come the confirmations: electrical and insulation tests, surge and balance verifications, and vibration checks. Before the unit heads to paint, you tidy the space, care for your tools, support 6S, and note process improvements for the team.
