SGRE is looking for a Project Manager in Orlando, FL to oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of the SG 5.2-165 Wind Turbine Electrical System project from conception through to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Lead the project management of design, development, and optimization of electrical system for the SG 5.2-165 wind turbine, ensuring systems are efficient, reliable, and scalable.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration and functionality of electrical components.
- Allocate and manage resources effectively, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management, to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Oversee the project management of testing, validation, and certification processes to ensure all electrical systems comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality benchmarks.
- Monitor project progress and performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the team to develop new solutions and enhance existing system to improve performance and reliability.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables align with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Address any issues or concerns promptly to maintain strong relationships.
- Manage, lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to achieve project objectives and professional growth.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of all project phases, including design specifications, testing protocols, validation reports, and final deliverables, to maintain transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- 10% domestic/international travel required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management or related field and 5 years of experience.
- Full term of experience must include: project management; industry standards and regulatory compliance; cross-functional coordination; testing and validation; technical leadership; problem-solving and analytical skills; technical communication; resource management; innovation and continuous improvement.
- Experience must include 2 years with electrical system design and development.
- 10% domestic/international travel required.
