In this role as a Production Supervisor for the first shift in the Wax area, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our turbine blade and vane manufacturing processes. How You’ll Make An Impact
- Supervise and lead a team of production technicians & manufacturing equipment operators, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety practices, and performance goals.
- Oversee first-shift wax production operations, managing workflows, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining accurate production records.
- Enforce Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations to ensure a safe working environment and monitor product quality.
- Provide coaching and performance feedback to foster team development and address employee relations issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Kaizen, to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field, preferred but not required – We will consider experience in lieu of a degree.
- Over 3 years of direct supervisory experience in investment casting or similar production processes, along with 5 years in manufacturing, including alignment, assembly, casting, welding, and machining.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary production team environment, with demonstrated experience in conflict resolution with an hourly manufacturing workforce.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- This position may require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
