Day to day tasks include performing engineering calculations to size various types of equipment (heat exchangers, valves, pumps, ect.), developing P&IDs, and working with the above mentioned parties to resolve challenges.

How You’ll Make An Impact
- Develop process engineering designs for combined cycle power plants, including flow schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and mechanical equipment data sheets.
- Interface with internal and external vendors and support reference design development and maintenance activities.
- Lead proposal efforts from bid approval to project turnover, including technical concept development, cost calculation, and proposal creation.
- Review customer specifications to provide process solutions and recommend acceptable solutions per technical standards.
- Develop clear technical proposals aligned with sales strategy and business goals, while ensuring adherence to established processes.
- Seek opportunities for process improvement and enhance financial performance of proposals while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience in process engineering and/or power plant operations.
- Experience with steam water systems and major components such as boiler feed pumps, bypass valves, and heat exchangers.
- Familiarity with P&IDs, heat balance diagrams, and identifying sizing criteria for various components.
- Experience with flow modelling software (AFT Fathom/Arrow or equivalent). Excellent leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Ability to support, lead, and complete several proposals simultaneously. Ability to prioritize while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
