What if your next project helped keep hospitals lit and data centers online? In this role, you’ll be the go-to engineer who blends controls know-how, CNC mastery, and vendor coordination to keep steam turbine manufacturing assets running in a 24/7 operation.

Your mission

Lead complex equipment improvements and solve high-impact problems across CNC machines, balance spin facilities, and process equipment. You’ll partner with maintenance supervisors, craft strategies that reduce risk, and communicate clearly through every shift turnover.

How you’ll do it
  • Lead systems-integration projects with external vendors to boost equipment capability and reliability.
  • Apply lifecycle cost thinking to advise on repair, replacement, or upgrade decisions that maximize value and availability.
  • Design and implement proactive maintenance programs for critical assets.
  • Collaborate daily with managers and internal customers; prepare precise specifications and purchase requisitions for needed components.
  • Expand and manage vendor partnerships for projects and facility services.
  • Coach peers on new methods and provide occasional off-shift/call-in support when needed.
What equips you for success
  • AAS or BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or related), or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and certifications.
  • 10 years in manufacturing with advanced experience on CNC equipment, PLCs, and process systems; highly experienced candidates may be leveled at a higher salary grade.
  • Strong root cause analysis capability; AutoCAD or Siemens NX experience is a plus.
  • Professional English proficiency; excellent interpersonal skills and confidence presenting to all audiences.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 10%).
