Our software tools span the full breadth of semiconductor and electrical systems solutions including integrated circuit design and verification, PCB design & manufacturing solutions, cable harness design tools, and embedded software.

This position is for the Calibre Pattern Matching QA team. The Calibre Pattern Matching tool provides signoff-quality pattern classification, matching, and debugging integrated with the Calibre suite of verification tools.

The Calibre Pattern Matching tool works within the Calibre platform to enable powerful integrated pattern-based design verification and manufacturing flows. Patterns supplement multi-operational text-based design rule checks, simplifying complex layout descriptions.

Responsibilities:

You will be part of a team responsible for testing, debugging and qualifying software releases and updates. Quality assurance responsibilities will involve the design, development, and execution of functional and regression tests used to measure correctness, robustness, performance, and overall quality. You will collaborate with senior software engineers, quality assurance specialists, marketing, and customer support professionals to help deliver timely product releases that meet our customer’s needs. Through leadership and innovation, develop procedures and tools needed to improve the QA process and assist developers in design trade-offs and risk analysis assessments. You will be challenged to break away from the conventional methods of testing and to think both like an electrical engineer and a software engineer.

Required Skills:

  • Technical degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related discipline.
  • 5-10 years in SW Quality Assurance with solid programming skills
  • Extensive Linux or Unix operating system experience
  • Shell Scripting experience (e.g., bash, ksh, zsh, csh)
  • Familiar with using defect tracking systems
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Practical experience with source code control tools (e.g., GIT, Perforce, Subversion, CVS, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of IC manufacturing process flows
  • Solid knowledge of the IC physical design, layout, and verification processes and tools

Desired Skills:

  • Exposure to CAD/CAE environments such as:
  • EDA verification tools like DRC, DFM, OPC.
  • EDA full custom layout tools/place and route tools
  • Experience developing or testing products written in an object-oriented language
  • Solid knowledge of the Python language
  • Experience writing Tcl code a plus

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range for this position is $126,100 to $227,000 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
