Position Overview:
The Factory Commissioning Test Technician is responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and performing repairs on next-generation light rail vehicles, locomotives, and coaches. Based in Sacramento, this role requires hands-on expertise with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to ensure vehicles meet operational and safety standards. The technician plays a key role in validating system functionality and supporting the delivery of high-quality rolling stock to customers.
What your day-to-day will look like:
ΓÇó Perform electrical and mechanical commissioning on locomotive and coach cars
ΓÇó Troubleshoot, document and repair electrical and mechanical failures
ΓÇó Work with state-of-the-art dialogistic test equipment.
ΓÇó Understand and comply with company and industry safety standards.
ΓÇó Communicate with others, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedure recommendations, and other work-related information.
ΓÇó Have ability to work independently and among a team with multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
ΓÇó Read, interpret and understand written or electronic schematics.
ΓÇó Use PTUΓÇÖs to troubleshoot various systems onboard light rail, locomotive and coach vehicles.
To thrive in this role, you have:
ΓÇó High school diploma (or GED)
ΓÇó 3+ yearsΓÇÖ experience in electrical testing.
ΓÇó Must be proficient in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical troubleshooting
Candidates should be willing to work in non-climate-controlled environments and inclement weather if required or if applicable.

The pay range for this position is $47,175 - $55,105.00 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
