Purpose of the Job
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to supervise Forbo's maintenance techs at the highest level. Responsible for overseeing the goals, strategies, and objectives the department and individual team members.
Tasks and Duties
Schedules and oversees all maintenance-related work by managing a team of maintenance technicians
Ensures that all maintenance operations are done in accordance with company policy and OSHA guidelines
Ensuring the facility satisfies all industry regulations
Forecasting, ordering, and price negotiation for spare parts inventory
Assist in developing and implementing a (proactive) maintenance program and Total Productive Maintenance(TPM)
Coaching, training, and developing maintenance staff
Allocate workload and supervise maintenance staff
Coordinating the completion of complex repairs
Hiring subcontractors for specialized maintenance work
Looking for new ways/tools/assets to improve productivity and cut costs
Drafting maintenance & Reliability reports
Negotiate/Support contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work
Manage relationships with contractors and service provider
Collaboration with other offices and departments
Director Global Operational Excellence
Site coordinators from other FMS locations worldwide
Production Manager
Fabrication Manager
Quality Manager
Shopfloor Supervisors
Requirements
Ability to keep track of and report on activity
Experience in planning maintenance operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent leadership and management skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members
Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
Qualifications
B.S in Reliability Engineering / Maintenance Engineering, Facilities Engineering or related field or 6 plus years experience in the role of maintenance manager
Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical
systems
