About The Role
The Corporate Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through effective access control, surveillance, and incident response. This role monitors entry points, verifies identification, issues badges, and manages vendor and guest access to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises, while supporting overall safety and security operations.
Responsibilities
- Surveillance and Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the corporate office and monitor CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Emergency Response: Act as a first responder during incidents, guide evacuations, manage crisis situations, and coordinate with law enforcement or fire services.
- Incident Reporting and Investigation: Document daily activities and security incidents (e.g., theft, vandalism, safety violations) and complete reports for risk assessment.
- Asset Protection: Protect company assets and sensitive data from theft or damage, including monitoring security systems and responding to alarms.
- Risk Management: Assess security measures for vulnerabilities and recommend or implement improvements to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred.
- Technology Proficiency: Knowledge of modern security technologies, including IP-based access control, CCTV monitoring, and report-writing software.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, executives, and guests while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
- De-escalation Capability: Ability to calmly handle disturbances and manage tense situations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Non-Gaming Sheriff’s Card
- Knowledge/experience using pepper spray and handcuffs when necessary
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
