SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Accounting Supervisor oversees financial accounting staff and is responsible for managing accounting operational functions to accumulate and consolidate financial data for a multiple entity real estate development company. The successful candidate will be highly organized and able to manage deadlines and rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring that company policies and internal controls are followed in all areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare, record and oversee prepaid allocations, accruals, revenue and other period end journal entries in accordance with close checklist and schedule
- Provide cash management support for 200 bank accounts including transfers, reconciliations, intercompany loans, daily reporting, and improve efficiencies through system optimization
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Review payroll funding and allocations; ensure payroll is recorded accurately; prepare bonus calculations
- Fully understand intercompany allocations including credit card processing and oversee weekly intercompany reimbursements
- Prepare jurisdictional tax returns and maintain business licenses
- Manage jurisdictional tax audits
- Assist with annual tax packet preparation as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Associates degree or higher education with accounting as focus study
- 4 years or more experience in a fast-paced accounting environment in a supervisory role
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Legally able to work within State and Federal guidelines
- Sense of urgency and prioritization
- Ability to success in a deadline driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication
