About the Role
Sidus Solutions is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Specialist to drive revenue growth across key regional and national accounts. This role leads complex sales cycles, develops strategic client relationships, and serves as a trusted advisor for technical surveillance and inspection solutions.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in technical sales within defense, maritime, shipbuilding, energy, or government contracting environments, with a proven ability to close high-value, long-cycle deals involving multiple stakeholders.
This position partners closely with sales leadership, engineering, and operations to expand existing accounts, generate new business, and support long-term company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow assigned sales accounts, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Lead consultative sales efforts for custom-engineered surveillance and inspection systems
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers across defense, maritime, EPC, operator, and integrator accounts
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across shipbuilding, defense, energy, subsea, and industrial markets
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical requirements, system configurations, and pricing solutions
- Prepare and present proposals, bids, RFP responses, contracts, and client presentations
- Represent Sidus Solutions at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting, and CRM data
- Support seamless handoff to operations while maintaining long-term client engagement
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in technical sales within one or more of the following industries: defense, shipbuilding, maritime, energy, or government contracting
- Demonstrated success managing and closing complex, long-cycle sales opportunities
- Experience selling custom-engineered, integrated, or technical solutions
- Strong ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Solid understanding of surveillance, inspection, maritime, defense, or related industrial technologies
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Highly self-motivated with a strong hunter mentality and results-driven approach
- Proficiency with CRM systems, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally nationally
