About The Role
- We are seeking a seasoned SFCC Architect & Program Lead with a proven track record of technical leadership, strategic vision, and stakeholder influence. This role demands someone who can own the solution end-to-end, proactively drive initiatives without waiting for direction, and be a trusted advisor to both client executives and delivery teams.
- This role combines deep SFCC knowledge (including SFRA and PWAkit), cloud integration, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is not only deeply technical but also respected as a leader, capable of guiding teams, shaping roadmaps, and influencing decision-making at all levels. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and can command respect through expertise and leadership.
- Lead cross-functional programs with minimal oversight, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and strategic pivots.
- Serve as a technical thought leader, influencing architecture decisions, platform strategy, and long-term planning.
- Architect end-to-end SFCC solutions aligned with business goals and delivery standards.
- Define best practices for SFCC development, deployment, and cloud integrations and actively integrate them into the solutions with hybrid client and Photon teams.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure cohesive solutioning.
- Drive improvements to DevOps strategy and implementation across environments (CI/CD, automation, monitoring, performance tuning).
- Actively contribute to the tools, architecture, and implementation of strategies with the client’s teams
- Support platform migrations and integrations with AWS, Azure, and third-party APIs.
- Mentor developers and contribute to talent development within the practice.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to track technical success and DevOps maturity.
- Help develop long-term planning roadmaps to increase the time horizon from quarterly to annual.
- Represent Photon in executive-level discussions, providing clarity, confidence, and strategic direction
- Own program-level delivery outcomes, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
- 10 years of experience in enterprise eCommerce architecture, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs independently, with a history of executive stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in defining and executing strategic roadmaps, not just delivering projects.
- Prior experience in client-facing consulting roles is highly desirable.
- Proven experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native DevOps practices including for SFCC deployments and tools.
- Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, and integration patterns with SFCC.
- Familiarity with other eCommerce platforms (e.g., Commerce Tools, Magento, Shopify) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
- Comfort with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
