Overview
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in developing and managing the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). This role is not for someone who simply uses Ansible playbooks — it requires an engineer who can build, scale, secure, integrate, and own the Ansible Platform as a product for our enterprise.
You will design automation frameworks, build custom modules, manage RBAC, standardize execution environments, and integrate Ansible with cloud provisioning systems like Terraform and AWS.
Responsibilities
✔ Design, deploy, and manage Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and Ansible Tower at an enterprise scale
✔ Develop custom Ansible modules, plugins, dynamic inventories, and collections
✔ Own and enforce RBAC, logging, auditing, compliance, governance & security on AAP
✔ Build and maintain Execution Environments to standardize automation runtime
✔ Manage Automation Hub and Content Collections with version control and quality controls
✔ Integrate AAP with Terraform, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise authentication
✔ Build end-to-end Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation for cloud provisioning and configuration
✔ Lead platform upgrades, scaling, HA, certificate management, health monitoring, and lifecycle management
✔ Implement automation frameworks to support application deployment & security policies
✔ Provide platform engineering support, best practices, and automation standards to internal teams
Required Skills & Experience
🔹 5 years of DevOps and Infrastructure Automation experience
🔹 Strong hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and Ansible Tower
🔹 Experience Developing Backend Ansible Content, Including
🔹 Hands-on experience with Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning
🔹 Experience automating and orchestrating workloads on AWS (VPC, EC2, IAM, ECS/EKS, Security Groups, etc.)
🔹 Experience implementing RBAC, security policies, auditing and logging on automation platforms
🔹 Strong Linux fundamentals, scripting (Python, Bash, YAML) & version control (Git)
Preferred Skills
⭐ Red Hat Certification (RHCE / RHCA)
⭐ Experience with Terraform Cloud or Enterprise
⭐ CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab)
⭐ Experience with Artifact Repositories (Nexus, JFrog)
