Learning Content Developer (AI-Powered Learning Content)

Sidecar is a leader in delivering asynchronous learning experiences for associations and professionals navigating the future of artificial intelligence. We're committed to creating high-quality, impactful educational content that drives real learning outcomes for adult professionals. 

We're looking for a Learning Content Developer who shares our passion for adult education and wants to help us adapt and refine content for different professional audiences. 

You'll work closely with our Learning Content Specialist and contribute to an AI-empowered content development process that combines human insight with automation. This is a great role for someone with a background in education, writing, or instructional design—including recent graduates eager to build experience in digital learning and comfortable working with AI. 

Your Role: 

You'll support two key areas: 

1. Content Development and Customization 

• Create original learning content and adapt our existing asynchronous learning materials to suit different professions (e.g., accountants, contractors, lawyers, etc.) 
• Repurpose and transform existing materials (presentations, documents, articles) into structured learning content 
• Tailor tone, examples, and phrasing to match each audience 
• Ensure content remains clear, engaging, and instructional 
• Develop customized learning experiences for our learning hub and association partners 

2. Content Quality Review 

• Review slide notes, scripts, and video content for:  
• Factual accuracy 
• Clarity and natural flow of AI-generated audio scripts 
• Mispronunciations or garbled phrases from AI avatars 
• Suggest edits that preserve educational intent and improve learner experience 

Our internal tools handle grammar and spelling automatically. Your focus will be on learning effectiveness, content clarity, and audience relevance. 

What We're Looking For: 

Required: 

• Strong writing and editing skills 
• Degree or coursework in education, instructional design, communications, or related field OR 1-2 years of experience in content development, teaching, or educational writing 
• Passion for creating high-quality, impactful learning experiences for adult professionals 
• Interest in understanding what makes education effective and engaging for working adults 
• Familiarity with asynchronous learning or adult learning principles 
• Attention to detail—especially in reviewing audio/video-delivered scripts 
• Comfort working with AI-generated content (e.g., ChatGPT, voice AI tools) 
• Self-directed work style with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
• Willingness to learn and adapt to AI-assisted content workflows 

Nice to Have: 

• Experience adapting content for professional learners 
• Familiarity with AI avatars (e.g., HeyGen) or voiceover platforms (e.g., ElevenLabs) 
• Exposure to script writing or learning content production 

Position Details: 

• Type: Full time 
• Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week), with flexibility during high-priority launches. We value self-directed learners who are curious about their craft and take initiative to explore new approaches, not just complete assigned tasks. 
• Schedule: Flexible, async-friendly, must be reachable from 8am to 5pm CST 
• Location: Remote (New Orleans area preferred for occasional in-person collaboration, but not required) 
• Reporting to: Learning Content Specialist 
• Toolset:  
• Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Teams) 
• Optional: Project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Planner or equivalent) 
• Training provided on AI presentation, voice, and avatar tools as needed
