Waitstaff/Server

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly and energetic Server to join our vibrant team at Side Door Social. In this role, you'll be the face of our restaurant, creating memorable experiences for guests through attentive service and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, skilled in food and beverage service, and eager to contribute to a lively dining atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable.
• Serve food, cocktails, wine, and other beverages with professionalism and flair, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Process cash and credit transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales reporting.
• Upsell menu items and drink specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly.
• Keep the restaurant clean and complete side-work tasks

Experience

• Previous food service or hospitality experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or high-volume environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of beverage service, including spirits, wine, cocktails, and food handling procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Experience with upselling techniques to promote menu items effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food preparation procedures.
