LOCATION: Skeeter North/EJ Metals - New London, Wisconsin
SUMMARY: The basic function of the shop helper is to assist all departments of Skeeter North/ EJ Metals with any needs requested daily from the management team.
Primary Responsibilities:
The shop helper is responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Assist with inventory management including picking parts from the warehouse and other duties requested by the materials coordinator.
- Deliver and pick up all needed parts daily.
- Pickup customers/salesman from surrounding airports as needed.
- Detail trucks and equipment prior to delivery.
- Clean all office/lobby/common areas of the facility.
- Help keep the shop clean and organized as needed.
- Keep the outside storage area organized and clean.
- Take trash out in the office area/break rooms/shop.
- Use of basic power tools to cut materials for transport.
- Perform other tasks identified by supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma (or GED equivalent).
- The physical requirements are stressful. Body movements consist of walking, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending, and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers. The senses of being able to see, hear and have full power of speech are necessary. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be able to comprehend basic math calculations and measurements.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, to read and discuss reports and instructions.
- Must have basic knowledge of operations of hand tools.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate all Class C vehicles.
Working Conditions:
Most work will be completed in a climate-controlled environment or in the operational section of a motor vehicle. Typical workdays will be 8 hours per day for 5 days of week. Some overtime may be required.
