Position Overview\n

SIMS is hiring a CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our growing team in Clarksville. In this hands-on role, you ll program, set up, and operate multi-axis mills, lathes, and Swiss machines while leading a small team of skilled machinists.

You ll work with Haas, Doosan, and Fanuc-controlled equipment, using Mastercam to create programs for complex, high-precision parts.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC mills and lathes
\n
• Create and optimize Mastercam programs for both prototype and production runs
\n
• Supervise and train setup personnel and operators
\n
• Interpret blueprints, models, and GD&T requirements with precision
\n
• Troubleshoot setups, tooling, and machining issues
\n
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area
\n

Machines & Software\n

\n
• Haas, Doosan, Fanuc-based CNC machines
\n
• Twin Spindle / Twin Turret lathes
\n
• Horizontal Machining Centers
\n
• Swiss CNC machines STAR or CITIZEN preferred
\n
• Mastercam (required), experience with other CAM systems a plus
\n

Qualifications\n

• 5 years of CNC machining and programming experience
\n
• Proficient with Mastercam for multi-axis programming
\n
• Experience leading small teams or mentoring other machinists
\n
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
\n
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety
\n
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed
\n
