Key job responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the lifecycle of complex cross-functional projects with considerable impact. Projects may span organizations or geographies in support of a business objective.
- Design, develop, and emulate engineering solutions for complex material handling challenges considering human/equipment interactions for the North America fulfilment network
- Design, develop and configure IIoT hardware for equipment, process, and operator workflow improvements
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, sensors, and camera hardware
- Hands on experience with computer vision models (YOLO, CNNs) including training, fine tuning, and deployment
- Ability to deploy and optimize models on edge devices (Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, CPU/GPU boards)
- Experience working with industrial environments, PLC connected sensors, and real time data streams
- Familiarity with Amazon SageMaker for model training and tuning
- Strong Python skills with experience building end to end vision pipelines
- Ability to integrate vision outputs with dashboards, APIs, and UI teams
- Lead and coordinate concept efforts for optimal solutions for the North America fulfilment network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, ergonomics, associate experience, operational considerations, and site layout
- Work with Scientists to create highly advanced simulation models and run "what-if" scenarios to help drive to optimal Hardware solutions
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure that every detail is thought through and documented using Standard Operating Procedures and/or structured change control
- Work closely with vendors, suppliers and other teams to come up with innovative solutions.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners
- Artifact (research, schematics, specifications, prototypes, 3D Models, analysis, test plans, strategic narratives, etc.) and set the standard in organization for engineering excellence.
- Able to communicate ideas effectively to achieve the right outcome for team and customer. Seek diverse perspectives, listen to feedback, and are willing to change direction if it creates a better outcome. Harmonize discordant views and lead the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus).
- Travel up to 30% throughout North America, which can vary up to three weeks consecutive travel including weekends.
