Bookkeeper

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced *Bookkeeper* to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in *corporate and family-owned accounting*, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role involves accounts receivable, accounts payable in a multi-company environment. The position offers an opportunity to work with diverse accounting functions in a dynamic environment, supporting both operational and strategic financial activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform *general ledger accounting*, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and *balance sheet reconciliation* and spreadsheets.
• Manage *accounts payable* and *accounts receivable*, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. Balancing accounts.
• Maintain accurate records using various *accounting software* such as *QuickBooks*, *Excel* and other financial tools.
• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and *financial report writing* for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support *tax preparation* activities and ensure proper documentation for audits or reviews.
• Perform detailed *account analysis*, monitor financial transactions, and ensure accuracy in all bookkeeping activities involving *debits & credits*, *double entry bookkeeping*, and journal entries.

Experience

• Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within corporate or family-owned businesses and multi-company setting.
• Proficiency with multiple accounting software platforms such as *QuickBooks*, *Xero*, *Sage*, and other relevant tools.
• Experience with *bank reconciliation*, *account reconciliation*, and managing complex financial data sets.
• Knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, and governmental accounting standards is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, including precise data entry (10 key typing) and detailed account analysis.
• Strong communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating across departments. Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
