Server / Bartender

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage service. This role involves creating a welcoming atmosphere, mixing drinks, and ensuring guests have an exceptional experience in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in Casual dining, upscale casula, or banquet settings is highly valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, adhering to food safety standards, and managing POS systems efficiently.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
• Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations accurately during transactions.
• Maintain knowledge of drink recipes, menu items, and specials to assist guests effectively.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
• Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift.
• Take orders for food and beverages at the bar or tables in various settings including fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet events.
• Assist with catering services when needed and support overall restaurant or retail operations as part of the team.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during busy hours.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a server or bartender in restaurant, banquet, or food service environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as toast POS is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and sales transactions using retail math principles.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
• Experience in brewing or hospitality industry knowledge is a plus.

Pay: $10.98 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
