What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Sibling Revelry Brewing?
Sibling Revelry Brewing is in search of a high-energy, full time bartender to join our team. The Bartender is guest focused – they greet customers, answer questions, recommend new brews, and of course, pours beer expertly! You are knowledgeable on each beverage offered and can make recommendations based on a guest’s preferences and individual taste. You will be the point of contact for taproom patrons, and a very important part in ensuring they have a great experience.
Essential Functions
- Welcome guests, answer questions, and make recommendations on new brews for tasting.
- Operate the Point of Sale system including opening and closing bills/tabs and cashing the drawer in and out for each shift.
- Learn about the beers on tap and be able and willing to educate guests.
- Speak knowledgably on the start of Sibling Revelry Brewing and be able to engage customer in the story if asked.
- Maintain a clean taproom including wiping tables, bar, chairs, taps, and other areas as attention is needed as well as removing trash and sweeping as necessary.
- Prepare taproom for opening including table and chair settings
- Follow closing instructions.
- Restock kegs on tap as needed.
- Appropriately stock and rotate retail items in the taproom including but not limited to shirts, hats, packaged goods, beer-to-go fridge.
- Coordinate with Taproom Manager and Assistant GM to ensure customer pickups are prepped and ready when customer is ready to pick up.
- Comply with all beverage regulations.
- May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events, specific projects, or program changes
- Employee may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in beverage/hospitality business management with at least 3 years in the beverage/hospitality industry required.
- Certified Cicerone® preferred, but not required.
- Ability to take and pass a background check

- Knowledge of and interest in the craft beer industry
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees and the general public
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment. The ability to think on your feet and adapt, flexibility is key.
- Strict attention to detail.
