OB Technician- PRN
Rotating Shift- 12 hours
No Call / Weekends Required
GENERAL SUMMARY: Works as a skilled technician who possesses knowledge of aseptic/surgical technique and is able to provide surgical technical skills for patients undergoing obstetrical and gynecological procedures. Performs duties to assist families in the childbearing process. Prepares the operating room, selects, plans, organizes, and effectively utilize instrumentation when participating and assisting the surgeon in the scrub role, taking into account physician preferences and patient care principles. The Obstetrical Technician is a member of the obstetrical team and is responsible to assist the physician and nurse with assigned duties.
Minimum Education And Experience
- High school level of education or GED equivalent.
- Certification and/or successful completion of an Operating Room/Surgical Technologist training program are preferred and/or experience in lieu of a training program.
- Associate degree in Allied Health or equivalent combination of education and clinical experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification required.
- Prefer hospital and/or medical work experience, which provide a basic knowledge of patient car
