This is a client-side Implementation Project Manager role leading a Workday Financials implementation. The selected consultant will act as the client's program lead, partnering with executive leadership, Finance, IT, Operations, and the selected Workday Systems Integrator to drive the implementation from planning through delivery.
What the Consultant Will Be Doing
The consultant will lead the implementation on behalf of the client by:
- Managing the overall Workday Financials implementation.
- Serving as the primary liaison with the Workday Systems Integrator.
- Managing project scope, schedule, governance, risks, issues, dependencies, and executive reporting.
- Coordinating Finance, IT, Operations, and executive stakeholders.
- Leading organizational change management, communication, user readiness, and adoption.
- Supporting implementation across Financial Accounting, AP, Asset Management, Planning, Budgeting, Procurement, Inventory, and Cash Management.
Candidate Screening Requirements
Candidates should be able to answer YES to all of the following:
- Have you served as the Project Manager or Program Manager for a full-cycle Workday Financials implementation?
- Have you directly managed a Workday Systems Integrator?
- Have you led organizational change management during a Workday implementation?
- Have you partnered directly with Finance leadership during a finance transformation initiative?
Candidates lacking direct Workday Financials implementation leadership experience are unlikely to be a fit.
