Location:
Stillwater Mine - Nye, MT
Schedule:
5x4, 4x5 - 11.5-hour days
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs of Ball Mills and SAG Mills, gear boxes, centrifugal and vertical turbine pumps, vibrating screens, jaw crushers, cone crushers and conveyor systems
- Perform a variety of building maintenance tasks
- Able to work without direct supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
Required
- Millwright or similar background with welding and mechanical experience
- Housekeeping standards maintained to high level
- Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- General blueprint knowledge
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Must meet the Task Matrix Proficiency Levels for a Mill Mechanic 1 or 2
- Must meet the Physical Requirements for the Mechanic - Mill Maintenance position (see Physical Requirements and Working Conditions in the HR Office)
- Understanding of and strong commitment to all health, safety, and environmental regulations
Preferred
- Previous mining experience
Education & Experience
- High School Education or GED
