Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to prepare authentic Thai and Filipino cuisine while maintaining high standards of quality, taste, and presentation. The ideal candidate has experience with cooking techniques, and recipes, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional dishes such as curries, stir-fries, soups, and noodle dishes
- Ensure consistency in flavor, portioning, and presentation
- Use authentic Thai ingredients, herbs, and spices appropriately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions when needed.
- Must show up on time and according to schedule.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a restraunt cook.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays according to scedule.
- Resume must reflect restraunt cooking experience, not fast food.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAFE certification
- Experience as a line cook in a restaurant or Asian kitchen
- Familiarity with menu planning and food cost control
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced kitchen setting
- May require standing for long periods and lifting kitchen supplies
