THE ROLE
This is a blended role for a seasoned commercial leader who can do two things exceptionally well:
- Open doors with retail buyers and expand our retail footprint.
- Lead the strategy and execution behind the development of our own product brands.
You’ll serve as the key connector between retail buyers and global suppliers, turning great ideas into shelf-ready products. If you’ve got the network, the instincts, and the drive to build — this is your seat at the table.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Retail Development
- Land new retail partnerships with national chains, regional players, and specialty stores.
- Leverage your existing buyer relationships to accelerate growth and open new categories.
- Own the pitch: line reviews, sell-in strategies, and deal negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor product assortments and go-to-market strategies for each retail partner.
- Stay ahead of market trends, category dynamics, and competitor movements to inform strategy.
- Track and report on retail pipeline, performance metrics, and key strategic initiatives.
Brand & Product Strategy
- Define brand positioning, product roadmaps, and category expansion strategies.
- Collaborate with design, sourcing, and marketing to bring products to market.
- Identify whitespace and range opportunities through market and consumer insights.
- Oversee packaging, merchandising, and brand storytelling for retail readiness and brand consistency.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with sourcing and supply chain teams to deliver cost-effective, scalable product solutions.
- Align brand and retail strategies with overall company goals and growth targets.
- Provide strategic input to leadership on product trends, retailer feedback, and global category opportunities.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 8 years in business development, retail sales, or brand management in consumer goods.
- Proven success selling into major USA retailers
- Experience launching consumer brands and private label programs
- Strong grasp of sourcing, supply chain, and product lifecycle
- Entrepreneurial mindset — you’re a builder, not just a manager
- Excellent communicator, negotiator, and relationship builder
