The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Director of Research Operations in operationalizing clinical protocols relevant to Bio-specimen procurement initiatives. Location: Birhmingham, Alabama Days: Monday - Friday Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Full-time: Benefit Eligible Essential Key Responsibilities: Responsible for, recruiting, consenting, detailing and tracking eligible study subjects for clinical trials Introduces the details, and parameters of the study to study candidates and appropriate medical staff Field candidates’ questions and concerns about the study Obtains signed informed consent from all study participants Functions as the liaison between study candidates and the principal investigator Tracks the number of study candidates that were recruited vs. the number of successful specimen collections Coordinates pre-operative blood collection handling and storage when required Education: Nursing or Med-tech degree and certification desired.
