Overview
Shult Automatics, part of the True North Manufacturing Group, is looking for a mechanically-minded team player to join our precision manufacturing team in Blaine, MN.
This role is a great fit for someone with manual machining experience who takes pride in quality work and wants to grow their skills. Based on performance and interest, this position can lead to training on our ACME-Gridley multi-spindle screw machines, including set-up and operation.
Responsibilities
● Set up and operate manual machining equipment to produce precision parts to print
● Read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) prints and specifications
● Perform in-process quality checks using standard measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
● Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
● Work collaboratively with teammates across shifts to meet production and quality goals
● As skills develop, train on ACME-Gridley multi-spindle screw machine set-up and operation
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on problem-solving ability
- Manual machining experience (lathes, mills, grinders, and similar equipment)
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T prints and apply quality inspection standards
- Skilled with precision measurement tools — calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs
- Basic math proficiency for dimensions, tolerances, M-code sequences, and machine offsets
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn new equipment, including multi-spindle screw machine set-up and operation
- Forklift certification preferred
