Job Summary:
We are seeking a Class C Heavy Truck/ Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Mechanic Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced mechanic to assist in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about mechanics and wants to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.
Duties:
- Assist mechanics in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, and filter replacements
- Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of vehicle components
- Clean and organize work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace
- Help maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
-Must do some minor torching and welding
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an automotive or mechanical environment preferred
- Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
-Your own basic hand tools are required
