Metal Fabricator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled metal fabricator who is responsible for cutting, bending, and assembling metal structures, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and Interpret Blueprints: Understand engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate metal components accurately.
• Fabricate Metal Parts: Use various tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble metal materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Operate Fabrication Machines: Set up and operate machines such as shears, rollers, and welding equipment to create metal products.
• Quality Control: Perform inspections and quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
• Maintain Safety Standards: Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with Team Members: Work alongside other fabricators, welders, and engineers to complete projects efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in metal fabrication techniques, including welding, cutting, and machining.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to measure accurately and ensure precision in all aspects of fabrication.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of troubleshooting issues that arise during the fabrication process.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required; technical training or an apprenticeship in metal fabrication is preferred.

Work Environment

Metal fabricators typically work in manufacturing plants, fabrication shops, or on construction sites. The job may involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures, requiring the use of safety gear such as gloves, goggles, and masks.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
