Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain engines, including powertrain components, diesel engines, and automotive electrical systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards.
- Conduct wheel alignments, vehicle wiring diagram interpretation, and ADAS calibrations to optimize vehicle safety features.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Interpret automotive schematics and wiring diagrams for complex electrical repairs and system troubleshooting.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and vehicle system checks for standard passenger cars and GM vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Valid ASE certification(s) with specialization in engine repair, electrical systems, or other relevant areas; GM certification is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive engine technology, powertrain systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Experience working on ADAS systems, heavy lifting tasks, alignment procedures, and diesel engine repair is desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and manual handling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.
