Job Summary

In this role, you’ll be the friendly face behind the deli counter, preparing and serving fresh, high-quality deli items while ensuring a clean and organized workspace. Duties

• Prepare and assemble deli items such as meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches according to company standards and customer preferences
• Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Engage with customers by providing friendly service, answering questions about products, and offering upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace by following proper sanitation protocols and food safety guidelines
• Manage food handling responsibilities including slicing, packaging, and storing deli products safely
• Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, and refrigerators with care and adherence to safety procedures
• Process cash transactions accurately while handling cash register operations and cash handling responsibilities

Requirements

• Previous food service or quick service restaurant experience preferred; familiarity with deli or café environments is a plus
• Knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing
• Strong food preparation skills with an understanding of food safety management and sanitation practices
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure smooth operations
• Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and inventory management
• Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining a clean workspace
• Retail sales experience with a focus on upselling and customer service excellence is desirable
