The Demand Generation Intern supports the execution of SHRM’s marketing campaigns across email, web, and digital channels. This role is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, campaign operations, and marketing technology.
Working as part of the Performance Marketing team, the intern will assist with campaign setup, content updates, audience targeting, and reporting. This is a learning-focused role that provides exposure to marketing tools, data, and cross-functional collaboration across SHRM teams.
This is a paid internship starting at $20.00/Hour.
This is a 10-week, summer internship from June 2, 2026 - August 6, 2026.

Hybrid Schedule (3 Days In-Office / 2 Days Remote):This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with Tuesday through Thursday in office and Monday and Friday remote. Employees must be available during standard business hours, with core hours beginning between 8:00–9:00 a.m. and concluding between 5:00–6:00 p.m. local time.

Responsibilities
- Assist in executing multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, web, and digital)
- Support the creation and updates of campaign assets, including emails, landing pages, and forms
- Help with audience list management and basic segmentation
- Review campaigns for accuracy, including links, formatting, and content
- Pull and organize campaign performance metrics (e.g., opens, clicks, engagement)
- Assist with reporting and tracking campaign results
- Support testing and quality assurance across marketing platforms
- Help document campaign processes and key learnings
- Collaborate with marketing, content, and analytics teams on campaign needs
- Stay current on marketing trends and tools
Education
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Previous internship, coursework, or projects related to marketing are a plus, but not required
- None required
- Strong interest in digital marketing and campaign execution
- Basic understanding of email, social media, or web marketing concepts
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
- Strong communication and willingness to learn
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Curiosity and interest in marketing technology and analytics
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to effectively leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and improve overall work quality.
