Job Description
The Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) will play an integral part of our Sports Medicine Team. On the playing field or court and in the community, you'll help keep athletes safe and healthy. In our clinic, you'll serve as a liaison between our medical staff, therapists, coaches, and community trainers, and will assist in injury clinic, and work with athletes such as competitive cheer squads, club soccer, and Little League baseball.
Hours for this position allow for a great work/life balance - Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., working indoors.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Athletic training services in sports health and medicine clinics to include assisting the medical staff in patient injury education, crutch training, home exercise program instruction and cast application.
Provide consultation visits in the rehabilitation setting in conjunction with rehabilitation staff for return to sport recommendations
Promote and teach sports safety while participating in sports-related community Shriners Children's public relations events.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitative related field
Athletic Training Degree required with NATA Certification
Board Certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 Year Pediatric experience
New grads considered.
3-5 years athletic training experience
