Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service through professional phone etiquette and friendly demeanor.
- Schedule appointments accurately using Dentrix ensuring efficient clinic flow.
- Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle collections with attention to detail and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with insurance verification, billing procedures and documentation to support smooth revenue cycle management.
- Coordinate patient intake processes, including data entry, appointment confirmations, and follow-up scheduling.
- Follow up on pending claims and submit any additional requested information and Perform general office management duties to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain clinic organization by filing documents, managing multi-line phone systems, and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive health information.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental office setting or healthcare environment with strong clerical and administrative skills.
- Familiarity with Dentrix; experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of health insurance processes including verification, billing, and understanding of HIPAA policies.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in phone etiquette and customer service; bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy for 10-key data entry.
- Clinic or dental office experience preferred; familiarity with dental terminology like Dentrix is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while providing outstanding patient service in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively and help in dental office as needed
