Shrewsbury Public SchoolsPosted: September 26, 2025 Closed: when filledEmployment Opportunity: Shrewsbury High SchoolPOSITION: Long-Term Substitute Social Sciences TeacherBeginning in late October 2025 and until January 2, 2026 Shrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Long-Term Substitute Social Sciences Teacher for Shrewsbury High School, beginning on or around November 10, 2021 and ending on December 23, 2021. The successful candidate will teach World Civilization, US History I and Economics. The anticipated pay is $280 per day.The Social Sciences Department at Shrewsbury High School values collegiality and collaboration. In all of the courses offered by the SHS Social Sciences Department, students are provided challenging and diverse learning opportunities, which encourage them to explore their role in and relationship to their local community, country, and world. Through a variety of assessments, students develop their ability to research effectively, think critically and to express their ideas in written, visual, and oral formats. The Social Sciences Department offers a wide range of required courses and electives. We are interested in candidates who are invested in the achievement, equity, and access of all learners in and beyond the classroom.
