Job Summary (List Format):
- Lead and execute capital projects for building materials manufacturing, starting with smaller projects and progressing to large-scale projects ($1M–$20M).
- Estimate project costs, develop budgets, secure funding, and oversee procurement and equipment ordering.
- Manage and hire vendors; lead on-site contractors through all project phases.
- Responsible for equipment and work specifications, including technical and commercial reviews for scope, safety, quality, and functionality.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; select materials, resources, and contractors.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, including plant staff, engineers, procurement, and external contractors.
- Report project progress to a steering team for guidance and support.
- Engage with stakeholders and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain project controls and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and provide ongoing project support.
- Utilize project scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera); exposure to SAP/INVEX systems is beneficial.
- Position requires heavy travel (>50%) and proximity to a plant location for on-site support.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering and 5 years’ engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
