- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Perform patient intake: vital signs, medical history, allergies, and medications.
- Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms.
- Verify and update patient information for outpatient visits.
- Communicate test results and medical instructions under provider direction.
- Ensure compliance with TJC, HIPAA, and government healthcare standards.
- Clean and sterilize medical instruments and maintain inventory.
- Provide cross-coverage to other clinical areas as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement projects.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with training from an accredited program.
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an Urgent Care setting.
- Proficiency in computer operations, including data entry and electronic medical records.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
