Location
The Health Technician provides patient care support, patient transportation, and administrative assistance within the Radiology/Imaging Department. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and technologists, this role helps ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care for Veterans.

- Primary Location: VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, 6900 N. Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89086
- May be required to support additional VASNHS facilities or clinics as assigned.
The Health Technician provides patient care support, patient transportation, and administrative assistance within the Radiology/Imaging Department. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and technologists, this role helps ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care for Veterans.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport patients safely throughout the medical center using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other transport equipment.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation for imaging procedures.
- Support clinical staff during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Monitor patient safety and promptly report changes in condition.
- Respond to emergencies and perform CPR when required.
- Maintain patient records, process documentation, and support imaging department workflows.
- Answer phones, assist patients and visitors, and provide general administrative support.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience in a healthcare, hospital, radiology, or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to pass required VA background and credentialing requirements.
