Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at the Togus Va Medical Center in Augusta, Maine.
- Full-time Opportunity, Monday through Friday
- 8 hour days, 7:30am to 4:30pm
- Full complement of benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, 401k, paid time off and more
- The Position will have the following requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- Certification from a nationally recognized accrediting agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT etc.)
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of laboratory experience.
- Will perform a broad range of laboratory procedures, including advanced and complex laboratory procedures. Must be able to recognize deviation from expected results and use scientific principles to analyze and correct problems.
- Evaluate and solve problems related to collection and processing of biological specimens for analysis accounting for physiologic processes and requirements.
- Maintain and document the optimal functioning of laboratory equipment. Use, calibrate, and identify malfunctions; repair and perform preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
