Job Title: Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health
Location: William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, TX
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts with one 8-hour shift per two-week period
- 4–5 shifts biweekly, up to 80 hours per two-week period
- Days vary Sunday–Saturday; schedule mission dependent
Provide comprehensive behavioral health nursing care in a military healthcare setting, supporting patient safety, readiness, and quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform assessments, exams, and health histories.
- Provide health education, counseling, and interventions.
- Administer medications and other treatments.
- Supervise and assign tasks to nursing staff based on scope and skill.
- Identify adverse symptoms and respond to emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and providers.
- Coordinate referrals and specialty care.
- Support research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Serve a mission-focused military healthcare team
- Support high-quality patient care in a professional clinical environment
