LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

SHP (www.shp.com) is seeking a talented, vibrant Landscape Architect or Designer to join our growing landscape architecture department that will thrive in a creative studio environment. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with other members of the multi-disciplinary team on an impressive array of projects and will be involved with all phases of the design process. Duties may vary depending upon workload and demand but will regularly include the following:
- Assist in the conceptualization and development of landscape design concepts under the guidance of Sr. Landscape Architect.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and interior designers to integrate landscape architecture into overall project plans.
- Prepare detailed drawings, models, and renderings using relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD/Revit, InDesign, Illustrator, and 3D modeling software) to illustrate design concepts from programming and conceptual design phases through technical documentation and construction.
- Conduct site visits and analyze environmental factors to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in landscape architecture, and contribute innovative ideas to projects.
- Participate in client, public, and zoning meetings/presentations to communicate design concepts and gather feedback.
- Assist in project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation as required.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture
- 1-5 years of prior professional practice experience
- Landscape Architecture registration or ability to become registered is preferred but not required.
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit, InDesign, Illustrator, and 3D modeling software
- Self-starter with ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments; quick and eager to learn and grow
- Ability and openness to travel to project sites in the greater Cincinnati area and occasionally other areas in Ohio.
Compensation:
This is a full-time 40 hours/week position, with a full suite of benefits, including paid vacation; paid holidays; paid sick/mental health days; medical, dental, vision and life insurance; health savings account with company contribution; 401(k) with company contribution; performance bonus; and other ancillary benefits. Competitive salary can be expected.
